China not to give up hope after suspension of MH370 search operation
The likelihood of finding the airliner is “fading” but the search will not be terminated, the JACC said in a statement attributed to senior ministers from Australia, Malaysia and China.

The current search area was determined by an worldwide panel of scientists and engineers, under the theory that the aircraft, with 239 people on board, ran out of fuel and fell into the ocean. In an effort to comfort the families of the dead, Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said at a press conference Friday that “This does not mean we have given up on looking for MH370”.
“The suspension does not mean the termination of the search”, the three ministers stressed in their joint statement.
Several pieces of aircraft wreckage have washed up on beaches in Africa and been positively identified as coming from MH370 but they shed little light on the mystery.
The search, originally scheduled to end in June, has been hampered by bad weather. “You could glide it for further than our search area is, so I believe the logical conclusion will be, well, maybe that is the other scenario”.
The oceanographer who led American adventurer Blaine Gibson to Madagascar where he found a potential debris field from the missing Malaysia Airlines jet says drift modeling suggests that Flight 370 could have crashed north of the current search area. If it wasn’t found soon, they would halt the search, officials said.
Grace Subathirai Nathan claimed that she and around 15 people were escorted by two Malaysia Airlines officials to a building adjacent to where the ministers were giving a briefing on the search for the missing plane. Nor had he recently taken out any life insurance policy, so why Zaharie Ahmad Shah would choose to kill himself along with 238 others in freakish and complicated fashion remains a complete mystery – if in fact the pilot is the man behind the plane’s disappearance.
Investigators have not been successful in finding out the reason for the plane’s disappearance due to lack of information and the failure to find the plane’s black boxes and the main body.
The plane disappeared March 8, 2014, on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. “We will definitely gather to protest it and I have lost confidence to the Malaysian government”.
Authorities have confirmed they will not expand the current search area for MH370.
