China, Pakistan enabling North Korea’s nuclear program, may face sanctions
Television in North Korea isn’t known for its laughs, but that’s changed now that a comedy programme has returned to the air after a break of several years.

According to Jakarta Post, Korean Ambassador to Indonesia, Taiyoung Cho, during his speech at Korean Cultural Center in Jakarta on Wednesday said: “We believe Indonesia as a friend of South Korea will play a big role in resolving North Korean nuclear issues”.
After the test, the North’s nuclear weapons institute said it will take unspecified measures to further boost its nuclear capability, which analysts said hinted at a possible sixth nuclear test.
The United States sent a message to Pyongyang by flying two B-1 bombers over South Korea on Tuesday, even as US envoy Sung Kim declared America’s intention to “secure the strongest possible resolution that includes new sanctions as quickly as possible” from the U.N. Security Council. It also emphasizes the importance of strengthening the defense posture of the United States and its allies instead of merely waiting for China’s cooperation.
THE Department of International Affairs and Co-operation said the government has “noted with serious concern” the reported nuclear weapons test conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
China has always been accused of not putting sufficient pressure on North Korea and not implementing United Nations sanctions by allowing movement of goods and money across its border, a claim it has denied. Egypt and Iran have also coordinated with North Korea in the past. Pressure for further sanctions was “laughable”, North Korea has said, vowing to continue to strengthen its nuclear power. Following the recent mass defection of North Koreans working at restaurants in foreign countries and the defection of Thae Yong-ho, a senior North Korean diplomat, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is said to have ordered overseas workers back to the country.
The words came as a response to the United States sending two B-1B bombers in a flyover of Osan Air Base, which is 48 miles (77 kilometers) from the Demilitarised Zone that South Korea shares as a border with North Korea.
A couple of days ago, the American geologists (USGS) announced an natural disaster of 5.3 magnitude in North Korea which was believed that Pyongyang conducted a nuclear test fifth over which the communist regime prior warning.
Past cases have shown that China often turns a blind eye to sanctions against its ally.
“The level of tension on the Korean peninsula has gone much, much higher”, Ban said. The weapon in the latest nuclear provocation was estimated to have a 10 kiloton yield and was approximately four kilotons more than the one previously used in the nuclear test earlier this year.

South Korea and Japan are critical to our missile defense system, which will protect us against a North Korean missile. The problem with such a policy, he adds, is that if time is not on the U.S. side the policy options move to the extremes, either acquiescence or use force to achieve the objective of denuclearization and he thinks we might be headed in that direction.
