The Chinese actress known as “Angelbaby” has had her face examined by doctors during the course of a high-profile defamation case after a Beijing beauty clinic ran an article claiming she has had plastic surgery. “Let’s wait to see Angelababy and Huang’s baby”, said @simblewong, who, along with many other netizens, believes the couple’s child could reveal their original genes. Angelababy first gained fame as a model and actress in Hong Kong. The actress allowed doctors to examine her face and during the consultation she invited journalists to observe.

Huang has also come to her defence. The actress filed a complaint, requiring the clinic to compensate her and apologise for infringing her image rights and damaging her reputation.
The medical exam was performed at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences by renowned Chinese plastic surgeon Qi Zuoliang in front of her lawyer, two notaries public in Beijing and a gaggle of reporters, according to Tencent.
While she is relatively unknown in the West, Angelababy is a hit in China.

Even Angelababy’s long-term partner and husband of one week, prominent actor Huang Xiaoming, has weighed in on the debate in recent months, commenting in an interview past year that his new bride “sometimes looks quite ugly”.
For those people who doubt the report: If Angelababy didn’t have her face examined, you would say that she’s afraid of having her secret exposed; now she does, you say that she has bribed the expert. I’m not a fool.
“I’m not an idiot, I definitely can tell she hasn’t had plastic surgery, sometimes she doesn’t put on make up and she really looks like those ugly pictures of her”.
