Chinese newborn baby pronounced dead wakes up moments before cremation
It was an emotional roller-coaster for a Chinese couple when their baby boy who died shortly after he was born showed signs of life just as he was about to be cremated, local TV in Zhejiang reported.

After the pronouncement, the baby was wrapped in two blankets and housed in the freezer of the hospital mortuary overnight.
The boy, named An An, is now battling for his life in an intensive care unit at the Pan’an People’s Hospital.
Workers at the crematorium in Pan’an in the eastern province of Zhejiang were preparing to cremate the baby on Friday when he suddenly starting moaning, provincial television reported.
On the same day, the doctors determined the boy had a cardiac arrest and pronounced him dead at the hospital. After being taken home earlier this month for the Chinese Lunar New Year, the baby’s heath deteriorated and was hospitalised again.
An An was then taken to the morgue of the funeral home around 6pm.
At 9am on February 5, after about 15 hours, staff at the funeral home said they heard him crying as they prepared for his cremation. When I pushed him to the crematory, the noises became louder.
He is now in a critical condition in hospital with doctors saying they have no way of explaining the “miracle”. “I opened the container and saw him moving, so I told the father the baby was still alive”.
“Having been a pediatrician for over 20 years, I can’t really understand how this miracle happened”, Dr. Chen said.

“It’s the first time I see such a case, it is a miracle”, said Dr Chen, who works at the Pan’an hospital where the baby was born.
