G20 is a core part of world governance and is needed to boost global economic growth, Rudd said as he released a report of the Independent Commission on Multilateralism in Shanghai on Thursday.

The upcoming Group of Twenty (G20) summit to be held in China’s Hangzhou will discuss worldwide economic and financial measures, which will directly affect the economic development of many countries, including Laos, he told Chinese reporters.

The two countries should work on the Belt and Road Initiative and cooperate in production capacity, infrastructure, energy, and the economy, he said.

Next year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of China-Kazakhstan diplomatic ties.

Brazil and China are both partners in BRICS, a vital framework to strengthen multilateral cooperation in global governance, worldwide sustainable development and agreement on climate change treaties, said Xi.

In an interview with the Chinese media, Bounnhang, who is also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, said China’s G20 presidency reflects the positive view of the Chinese party and government in worldwide cooperation, adding that Laos appreciates China’s leading role.

Today the host president spoke with his counterpart from Senegal, Macky Sall, with whom he discussed raising bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
