Chinese woman kept 100,000 cockroaches as pet
This woman could be the first woman known who loves cockroaches, and she kept more than thousands of cockroaches as pet in her home.

According to the report, Yuan Meixia, 37, has kept huge amount of cockroaches in her house in Fujian. She also feeds them sugary treats.
She once said in a talk “they are all my children, my babies”.
However, the actual reason behind keeping cockroaches isn’t love, she’s breeding the bugs for financial reasons.
The Palmetto cockroaches are popular in some traditional Chinese medicine, and pharmaceutical companies’ pays about $100 per kilo for the bugs.
She’s a full service operation too, killing the critters as well as breeding them. She drowns them in vats of water, dries them in the sun, and then she sends them to the buyers.
