This should have been a rebuild year but the Eagles managed to go 10-6 and win the NFC East before being dispatched in the first round by the New Orleans Saints. Brady surely had an enjoyable Thanksgiving, knowing he could do a whole lot more carving next Sunday. Without their starting left tackle, the reshuffled line couldn’t keep the Lions out of the backfield. Their running game stalled once again.
In Watkins, the Eagles have a player who is familiar with their defensive scheme. Is Chip Kelly 100 percent to blame, and if so, what happens with the Eagles in 2016? The Eagles have recorded 27 sacks (11th) and have forced 21 turnovers (tied-2nd).
Kelly has to hope it’s an injury slowing Agholor and not the fact that Kelly might have missed on a first-round draft pick for the second straight season.
Actually, because why not, the Philadelphia Union of MLS just finished the season second-to-last in the Eastern Conference and finished second-to-last in points for the entire MLS, with 10 wins and 17 losses on the season. Agholor drew a 15-yard penalty in the fourth quarter when he took off his helmet and argued with Detroit cornerback Crezdon Butler.
