CHP chases stolen big rig on various SoCal freeways

The driver led officers southbound through San Bernardino County and then eastbound through Riverside County.

The chase began about 10:30 a.m.in unincorporated Apple Valley, where a sheriff’s deputy spotted the stolen truck and attempted to stop the driver.

A man in a stolen big rig is leading police in the USA state of California on a pursuit across Riverside County.

Shortly before 1 p.m., the big rig was travelling northbound on Highway 62 near Joshua Tree National Park, towards the 29 Palms area.

The semi-truck appeared to belong to ACTenviro, which helps businesses with their “hazardous waste and environmental management needs”, according to the company’s website. In addition to the CHP officers chasing the big-rig, officers were driving along city roads near the off-ramps in case the driver exited the freeway.
