The California Highway Patrol is recommending that the Orange County District Attorney’s Office charge Dennis Rodman with felony hit-and-run, reports the L.A. Times.

Officer Florentino Olivera told The Orange County Register on Thursday that the agency recommended that prosecutors charge Rodman with felony hit-and-run and driving the wrong way on a freeway.
Rodman has not been cited or arrested, Olivera said.
The early morning incident took place July 5 in Santa Ana, Calif. A motorist in a BMW was heading southbound in the carpool lane on the 5 Freeway in Santa Ana when another vehicle-a white Range Rover-was seen coming the opposite way.
The BMW smashed into the center divider and Dennis allegedly left the scene, according to TMZ.
A passenger in the BMW complained of pain following the collision, but there were no major injuries, Olivera said.
“It could have been a lot worse”, Olivera said.
“Life is good – that’s why I’ve never been charged”, Rodman told The Associated Press in Atlantic City, where he made an appearance at a Boys & Girls Club to give out his children’s books.
Nicknamed “The Worm” for his rebounding and defense skills on the court, Rodman played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association for the Pistons, Bulls, Spurs, Lakers and Mavericks.

A voicemail seeking comment was left at a listing for Rodman’s marketing agent.
