Chris Bosh helps Heat survive shaky moments to top Pelicans in OT
The first of five National Basketball Association games on Christmas Day will feature the Pelicans traveling to Miami to take on the Heat at 12:00PM ET. He had eight points, 17 rebounds and four blocks – but he didn’t play in crunch time.

When Anderson came to the Pelicans (then Hornets) in a sign-and-trade, Anderson continued to elevate his play and has averaged 15.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 37.4 percent from three-point range in an increased role with the Pelicans.
Chris Bosh remembers what it was like: the early burden as a high lottery pick, the expectations to lead a franchise to prosperity, the lucrative contract extension, unexpected coaching changes and frustrating injuries that conspired to stymie hope and progress.
The Pelicans have won three of their last four and will be looking for a third straight win after their 115-89 blowout victory over the Trailblazers on Wednesday. But Davis was splendid, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the first half. The Heat took advantage even though they couldn’t buy a bucket – despite shooting 39.7 percent from the floor through three quarters they had a 63-52 lead heading into the fourth.
Ryan Anderson is a player who cannot only shoot from three, but he can also rebound as well.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a home winning record above. Granted, New Orleans is 29th in defensive efficiency this season, but it could be hard for the Pelicans to contribute to the over total offensively.
In essence, Davis is a shot-blocking rebound machine who can bully you inside and throw down thunderous slam dunks or drill a clutch 3-pointer with a game on the line.

Dwyane Wade and Gerald Green scored on consecutive layups that put the Heat ahead 78-76 with 48.3 seconds remaining. Forutnately for New Orleans, Eric Gordon drove to the lane uncontested, too, to tie the game and Bosh missed a tough jumper. “We’ll just regroup and learn from it and just keep on plugging away”. Unfortunately, they ran a poorly-spaced play and ended up with a bad shot by Anthony Davis that missed, sending the game to overtime.
