The arrest, which occurred outside the view of several news helicopters that swirled overhead and throngs of camera crews gathered at the bottom of Brown’s hilltop estate, marked the conclusion of almost 14-hour-long stand-off and investigation by police.
Brown dropped his newest single, “What Would You Do” on Wednesday and made an Instagram video for fans introducing the tune. “Call the police”, Ms Curran said on her Instagram account, AFP news agency reported.
Curran alleged that the Royalty singer pointed a gun in her face, which led to a 14-hour stand off with the LAPD.
Tuesday, however, the R&B artist was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon after Baylee Curran claimed Brown threatened her with a gun. After a few hours of hanging out, she said a member of Brown’s crew was displaying diamond jewelry and when she went over to admire the bling, that’s when things took a turn for the worse.
Curran is still “debating” whether she should press charges against the singer.
Police couldn’t enter the house without a search warrant, which they were working to get while they dealt with Brown. As noted by the victim, she and her friend visited Brown at his home in Tarzana, a neighborhood at California’s San Francisco Valley.
“I have a different relationship with Chris”, the G-Unit general says in a post.
Ramirez says nobody has been arrested and everyone has been cooperative.
Brown posted videos to social media declaring his innocence before his lawyer Mark Geragos arrived.
Geragos, Brown’s attorney, told the Los Angeles Times that he was with his client while investigators searched the home and that Brown denied any wrongdoing. He did not identify the woman, elaborate on the assistance she needed or know if she was injured.
Police have not confirmed the report.
Calls to representatives for Brown were not immediately returned.
The Grammy-winning singer has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement.
