The news came after what appeared to be an hours-long standoff with the police, who waited for a search warrant outside Brown’s home after he refused them entry, the Los Angeles Times reported earlier.

Brown, 27, denied any wrongdoing in posts on Instagram before he was taken into custody and said that he had woken up to find police outside his property in the Tarzana neighborhood in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.
When police initially tried to enter the home to search for a weapon, they were told to get a search warrant, the Times reported.
She also spoke to TMZ, saying she and a friend went into a hot tub at Brown’s house and that the singer became angry when she admired the jewelry of a member of his entourage.
Curran said she and her friend ran outside as one of Brown’s associates gave chase and hid under a neighbor’s SUV.
Grammy-winning Brown has previously had several high-profile run-ins with the law, most notably for the 2009 assault of then-girlfriend, pop star Rhianna.
A representative of Brown has not returned calls for comment about any of this. “And it’s always going to be be f**k the police black lives matter n***er”, he said.
Police Lt. Chris Ramirez says Brown was arrested Tuesday and was being taken to downtown Los Angeles for booking. No one has been arrested, and police haven’t said whether they have found a gun. “Detectives are now serving the search warrant and trying to get the occupants and Mr. Chris Brown to cooperate with our investigation to find out if there’s any type of relation to what occurred this morning”. Ramirez did not identify the woman or elaborate on the assistance she needed.
Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, arrived at the house shortly before police served the search warrant. He says detectives hope to talk to Brown, the woman, and any witnesses. Multiple police vehicles are parked at the scene.

The R&B singer, who topped the United States singles chart with “Run It!” and “Kiss Kiss”, has had years of run-ins with the law. Last year, he completed his probation in that case last.
