Rebelling against being pigeonholed as a Republican presidential candidate who can compete only in New Hampshire, Chris Christie has revved up his campaign in Iowa, betting that voters will think his brash style and New Jersey swagger are more “Iowa nice” than the bluster from front-runner Donald Trump. “I shouldn’t say the person’s name, but her initials are Hillary Rodham Clinton.”, “We can not let Hillary Rodham Clinton be the next president of the Untied States”, Christie later said, according to the newspaper. “I watched your six-minute video on Joe Scarborough”. Both my parents are recovering addicts. That hit me quite deeply and I wanted to thank you for talking about the issue, I think it’s something that nobody talks about and we need to talk about. “If we get to New Jersey and we’re in the competitive primary that we hope we are, then I think it’s going to be very significant”. The governor expressed his intention to use the issue to continue to build support. “How stupid are the people of Iowa?” In the video, Christie explains that because of his personal encounters with loved ones who have struggled with addiction, he believes that people facing similar issues should be placed in treatment facilities instead of going to prison.

“Listen, they’re entitled to their view”, Christie told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto.

“Whenever you’re looking for another job, your current employer can get a little miffed at times”. We look for issues where we don’t have fundamental disagreements, right?… But not only that, he hasn’t backed up police officers from the minute he has gotten into office. “I’m hoping it’s the former, but it’s one or the other”.
