Chris Eubank Jr vs Spike O’Sullivan

I think it’s something to do with maybe him wanting to look good for the cameras from the media.

Pauli Malignaggi also fights in the United Kingdom for the first time in seven years as he meets Gianluca Branco’s replacement in Antonio Moscatiello.

Eubank will be hoping that this is the only thing that Spike lands when the pair face off at London’s O2 Arena tomorrow night as part of the Joshua/Whyte undercard.

Eubank (20-1, 15 KOs), who has repaired his career after losing his unbeaten record on points to Billy Joe Saunders just over a year ago, earned a crack at New Yorker Daniel Jacobs for the WBA crown after repeatedly catching O’Sullivan with right uppercuts.

“He’s been acting like a child if you ask me”.

Eubank Junior warned: “He’s dug himself a very deep hole and he’s not going to be able to get out of it. I am ready to go in there and cause destruction”. Once he gets hit by me it will be a whole different story.

“He knows that I have a strong mental advantage over him so he’s trying to bring me down to his level”.

“There is always pressure, but as far as pressure from Gary, I don’t rate him as a fighter”.

Spike O’Sullivan is some boyo..

I think Eubank Jr. would be 100 percent better if he didn’t pose, but for him to stop, I think he would need a trainer that would scream at him each time he did that and read the riot act to him. I just don’t think that’s the kind of approach that is needed to wean Eubank Jr from that bad habit. I punch that hard that it’s inevitable that I will knock him out.

Eubank Jr to triumph on points following an entertaining and feisty encounter that could well steal the show if Joshua continues his run of devastating early knockouts in the main event.
