Chris Evans – famous for playing Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – is set to explore his dark side in Lionsgate’s horror film “Jekyll”.

The fictional scientist Dr. Jekyll was created by writer Robert Louis Stevenson in his 19th century novella “Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde” and in the story he invents a serum that turns him into a depraved and disgusting man known as Mr. Hyde.

Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman of A Very Good Production are producing.

According to Chris’s upcoming movie schedule, he is going to appear in the movie Gifted, directed by Marc Webb and is all set to release on April 12, 2017.

It’s unclear if Steven Moffat himself is involved, but we do know that the screenplay for the film is being penned by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry. No director is now attached to the project. What Hyde doesn’t know: Jekyll is married. With all the resources of modern technology, and the best surveillance hardware, he’s determined to keep his dark side in line.
