Amusing man Chris Farley – the underrated comedy movie star of our time – will forever be associated with the multitude of hilarious characters he played during his SNL days and in loveable movies like Tommy Boy.

Producer John Garbett has leaked rough storyboard animation featuring Farley voicing Shrek opposite Eddie Murphy doing his thing as Donkey.
Dreamworks Pictures later made the decision to go back to the drawing board and bring in ol’ mate Mike Myers as a replacement. According to Farley’s brother Kevin, the character initially “was a little bit more like Chris, like a humble, bumbling, innocent guy”.
Although it’s hard to imagine Shrek being voiced by anyone other than Mike Myers and his distinctive affectation of a Scottish accent, he wasn’t the first choice. It’s very bittersweet to think of how Farley’s career might have progressed if the success of Shrek had happened to him. The video was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday and has since caught Reddit’s attention.
