However, the 25-year-old has today confirmed that he is fit and raring to go for the match at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.

Anthony Martial has opened up about his early days in the Premier League with Manchester United. However while they have proved resilient at the back, goals have proved hard to come by with the Red Devils managing just 7 goals, one a game in their most recent unbeaten run.

Mata is relishing the return to Premier League action and so are the fans after what has been a long and laborious global break. Wayne Rooney also has a superb record against Watford having scored three times in two appearances, which includes a brace in an FA Cup fixture.

United fans were also eagerly anticipating any news surrounding Smalling, who appeared to get injured in England’s game against Spain last week. My team has been pushing in every game.

“We’re underdogs in the Premier League so we have to fight to keep the team up”.

The Red Devils make the trip to Vicarage Road to take on a Hornets side that now sit 11th on the Premier League table.

United had not been beaten in their last four matches while Watford split its last four.

Paddy McNair and long-term absentee Luke Shaw both remain on the sidelines, with Shaw continuing his rehabilitation from a broken leg.
