Christian Dior criticised for Johnny Depp’s new ‘Sauvage’ campaign
Representatives for Johnny Depp have issued a statement, following the finalization of the divorce settlement, that Depp had submitted the first payment to the charities designated by Heard in her pledge to give the money to the worthy causes.

And it seems some members of the Australian public have taken offence to his “Sauvage” fragrance campaign for Christian Dior, which is being promoted heavily Down Under just days after his divorce settlement.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star released a statement saying he had paid the first instalments to the charities himself “in the name of Amber Heard“.
Depp vehemently denied claims he abused Heard after she said he had a “history of drug and alcohol abuse” and been “verbally and physically abusive” for the entirety of their four-year-relationship. She even called it “great and unexpected news”, but maintains that Depp is changing the terms of their settlement for his benefit, and that he should pay a larger lump sum rather than installments.
It’s believed the movie sparked the breakdown of their marriage after Depp reportedly flew into a jealous rage over Heard’s scenes with Billy Bob Thornton and accidently cut off his fingertip.
Meanwhile, Heard is reportedly frustrated at the fact the Depp is making the payments in instalments instead of a lump-sum.
On Wednesday, TMZ reported that “both the ACLU and the Children’s hospital had received checks from the 53-year-old on behalf of his ex”.
In case you haven’t been following, actress Amber Heard made headlines earlier this month when she announced that she would be donating her entire $7 million divorce settlement from Johnny Depp to charity. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. “Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future”.
She said he must now “honour the full amount by donating $14m to charity”.

“Anything less would be a transparent attempt by Johnny’s counsel, Laura Wasser and Patti Glaser, to reduce their client’s true payment by half under the guise of newfound concern for charities that he has never previously supported”, they continued.
