“At the moment we are going behind in games, chasing them and then not doing the ugly stuff – that has to change”. They were unbeaten heading into this weekend’s match against Stoke, but had only scored three goals and were generally struggling to create a lot of good chances.

Unfortunately for the team though it turned out to be Spurs’ last win of the season which saw the team fall away in the title race. Last season was tough for him and we have to make the decision, in or out.

Pochettino praised the contribution of Son, who was making his first Spurs appearance of the season, having only demonstrated glimpses of his ability in his debut season at White Hart Lane. As I said, he’s just happy at Tottenham. He arrived at Spurs in 2013 and has scored 30 goals and provided 33 assists in 134 matches for his team.

“I think it is a very good group of people and players who can connect with each other and a group of staff who connect with the players. I’m happy with the performance, happy for the players and our supporters”, added the manager. We will see what happens before the game and look at the starting XI because we don’t have reference now, only the first three games. “It’s important to take it step by step and to show character, personality and to play in the way we want to play – and try to win, because football is about winning”.

After the England global scored 21 Premier League goals two years ago, he wouldn’t find the back of the net until the seventh game last term.

Harry Kane leads the anytime scorers market at 11/10 while Stoke’s new boy, Wilfried Bony is a more attractive 3/1 option.
