Christie Calls for Special Prosecutor for Clinton Foundation
Trump once again called for a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton’s time at the U.S. State Department.

“Hillary Clinton is totally unfit to hold public office”, he said at a rally Tuesday night in Austin, Texas. “America can never elect a candidate who, like Hillary Clinton, did government favors for those giving her family and her foundation massive amounts of cash”.
Meanwhile, James Rosen, the chief Washington correspondent at Fox News, reported on Tuesday a review of State Department call logs revealed a senior executive at the Clinton Foundation left almost 150 telephone messages for Mrs. Clinton’s top aide at the State Department during a two-year period.
While pundits are tearing their clothes over an AP story showing nearly 3% of meetings that Hillary Clinton held at the State Department involved people who had donated to the Clinton Foundation-so long as you extend the list to people who were involved in other charitable groups which donated to the foundation, and you limit your data to just a subset of Hillary’s time as Secretary of State.
“I think that somebody who is running for president of the United States, particularly if they’re elderly – and that would include both major candidates – should disclose their medical history”. Yet as Ms Clinton has made her bid for the White House, the foundation has been the target of allegations of that it accepted donations in exchange for political access. “I’m sure all we’ve seen is the tip of the iceberg and there will be more to follow”, alleged Giuliani.
“At every juncture they set up the highest possible standards and the State Department itself has said that there was no conflict of interest”, campaign manager Robby Mook told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday. “Together they constituted the most scandalous and certainly most profitable sale of public office since the Teapot Dome Scandal of the 1920s”, he said. “That’s a sharp turnaround from 2012, when defense contractors gave more to then-Republican nominee Mitt Romney than to President Barack Obama”.
The foundation was created by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and her husband former President Bill Clinton to fund aid programs in developing countries. All those dollars, though, did not come to this particular foundation because there was nobody else doing good works; those dollars poured in because of Clinton clout, Clinton influence and Clinton connections.
Other Republicans joined Pence’s call for a special prosecutor.
Donald Trump claimed the report is proof of a “pay-for-play” scheme.
A trove of emails from Clinton’s time as secretary of state released Monday revealed how donors to the Clinton Foundation sought, and sometimes received, access to Clinton and her aides at the State Department.
Hillary is also outperforming Trump in polling in 12 of the 14 most important swing states.
