Christie hits Hillary, Jindal attacks GOP rivals at undercard debate

The so-called “undercard debate” sponsored by Fox Business News, featured Christie, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Pennsylvania U.S. Sen.

Jindal blamed the federal government for any bleeding in the American economy.

Sixty-one percent of all New Jersey respondents said they believe Christie should end his bid for the White House and return to Trenton to serve as governor full-time.

“We can’t afford to elect a big-government Republican”, said Jindal.

Huckabee tried to respond, but he was cut off by a moderator due to time constraints.

However, Christie’s campaign said that Tuesday’s debate was not about going after fellow Republicans. “She is the real adversary tonight and we better stay focused as Republicans on her”.

Democratic front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton has called for raising the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $12.

The undercard candidates may mostly agree on issues, but that didn’t stop a face-off between Jindal and Huckabee. “We are on the path to socialism right now!”

Huckabee cautioned about opening our doors freely to migrants and refugees without finding out who they really are, first. “Nothing changes, when they go to relieve themselves, their calls and the toilets get flushed at the same time and the American people lose”. The result was a stunning indictment from the former U.S. Attorney on Clinton and her policies.

“I’m a capitalist, not a corporatist”, he said. On veterans’ health, he asked, “What would happen if the president and Congress had to get their health care from the VA?”

Santorum said he visits a manufacturing company once a week and finds open jobs with no one to fill them. He says his plan would make it so income taxes can be filed in 15 minutes.

Santorum presented his 20 percent flat tax, and talked about closing loop holes. Coining it a one-time holiday, Christie has proposed a tax rate of 8.75% on repatriated earnings. And here’s what I want to remind everybody. “That is immoral, it is wrong”. Huckabee was also relegated to the earlier event. “That’s the person you want on the stage prosecuting the case against Hillary Clinton”. He also mentioned the real importance to the economy is the stability of the family.

Huckabee is calling for more manufacturing to occur in the United States.

Santorum spoke first about the VA crisis.

In response to which Democratic member of Congress they like to work with, none of them answered it. Jindal said he would fire everyone in Congress and would push for term limits. Huckabee said people should vote for someone who never forgets their beginnings.

“I spent seven years of my life in law enforcement”, he continued, saying to the country’s 700,000 police officers that “when President Christie is in the Oval Office, I’ll have your back”.

Bobby Jindal made a peculiar pitch about halfway through the junior varsity debate on Tuesday night in Milwaukee
