Christie: Rand Should Be In Congress Hearings If Terror Hits

Christie spokesmen deflect criticisms directed at their boss for his failures in the wake of that storm declaring Christie “is concerned” but he was tied up with state budget matters not political campaigning. He’s politicizing America’s national security. You get it, you spend it on pension and benefit reform.

Christie dished out a barb at MSNBC when asked why his approval numbers have dropped off significantly since his big electoral victory in 2013. “And when we were done with that I was happy to entertain his complaint, but until that time I had more important things to do”. All are a major improvement to the current president. A Fox News survey in June showed him tied for 11th place at 2 percent.

In the past, Christie has said he’s always available by phone, but Weinberg said that doesn’t cut it. The current retirement age is 67 for those born in 1960 or later. Utah senator Mike Lee said Christie’s words were “tantamount to political pornography” and said the governor should be ashamed for saying Americans must choose between the fourth amendment and a coffin. And he wants to overhaul Medicare and Medicaid to reduce long-term health care costs for seniors and low-income Americans.

Christie says what separates him from the rest of the large pack of GOP hopefuls is he’s “combat ready”. “So we need to reform these programs”. But many Republicans were less understanding when, days before the 2012 election, Christie locked arms with President Barack Obama during a visit to New Jersey to survey Sandy damage.

Christie was referring to his rivals – Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, Rick Perry, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Bobby Jindal and George Pataki- who have said that they would disavow any deal not approved by Congress. Support was split along party lines.

It’s a pattern that has helped make Christie a known quantity across the country, but reduced his stature among New Jerseyans. Insisting that past controversies are just that, he and his advisers think he can slowly rebuild his national standing by turning the press he once embraced into a foil and casting his decisions at the time as responsive, even if the circumstances were unseemly. “And for him to raise money off of it is disgraceful”. Independent public opinion polls in New Jersey also have found that the majority of the state’s voters don’t think he would make a good president.

The USA remained on a high state of alert over a possible attack on Sunday, after officials expressed fears of an attack on Independence Day that did not materialize.

“It will be destructive”, he told CNN’s “State of the Union”.
