Christie to Black Lives Matter: ‘Don’t call me.’

When pressed on whether the Black Lives Matter movement shouldn’t be justified, Christie said: “I don’t believe that movement should be calling for the murder of police officers”.

Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) isn’t here for the Black Lives Matter movement because “all lives matter”. “You’re not getting one”, said Christie, according to The Star-Ledger.

Last month, Mrs. Clinton met privately with members of the Black Lives Matter movement to talk about criminal justice issues while in Washington, D.C., for the National Council of Negro Women. “When I’m president of the United States, [law enforcement will] finally have a president who will have their back, and have it every day”.

“No candidate for president, like [Democratic front-runner] Hillary Clinton, should give them any credibility by meeting with them, as she’s done”.

Later in the debate, Christie again criticized President Barack Obama’s relationship with police, answering a question about veterans by saying that Obama has not stood behind law enforcement as commander-in-chief.

New Jersey Governor and GOP presidential hopeful Chris Christie has drawn the ire of #BlackLivesMatter activists by openly refusing to speak with leaders of the movement.

Protesters representing Black Lives Matter have repeatedly interrupted 2016 presidential campaign events this year. “Sure they are! Sure they are”. “They’re not standing behind our police officers in this country”. That’s what the movement is creating.

“We can not let Hillary Rodham Clinton be the next president of the Untied States”, Christie later said.
