Christie to suspend presidential campaign, reports say
Meanwhile, at Thursday’s Democratic debate in Milwaukee, Hillary Clinton, who has cast herself as the rightful heir to President Barack Obama’s legacy, accused rival Bernie Sanders of diminishing the president’s record and short-changing his leadership. A loss there could spell doom for Mrs Clinton’s campaign.

Christie had told supporters late Tuesday night after the poll results were released that he will return to New Jersey to reevaluate his candidacy, according to the New York Times.
“People needed a sign, and they got the sign that they needed”, one donor and major Bush supporter said about other anxious donors. The victor of the Iowa Republican caucuses, Ted Cruz, came in third place in the Granite State with 12 percent of the vote.
Their wins in New Hampshire were not unexpected but some of the stats from the exit polls will have party strategists scratching their heads.
“We’re not just going to lay back”. “Maybe greater than ever before”.
“He simply does not have the experience to be the President of the United States”, Christie argued.
Christie had banked his presidential prospects on a strong finish in the early-voting state, but finished behind most of his Republican rivals in Tuesday’s election. He pointed to his largely positive approach, saying, “Light overcame the darkness”. Marco Rubio (R-FL) at 15 percent and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) at 11 percent. Is there a reason to believe that states like SC or Nevada, which have their contests coming up, will have less-accurate polls than the polls here in New Hampshire?
Cruz, challenging Trump for prominence in the anti-establishment far-right lane, highlighted their “glaring differences” during an appearance in SC. Unlike Sanders, its now unclear who is Trump’s main challenger.
With Hillary Clinton losing to a socialist Democrat by almost 20 points, Larimer said Clinton will likely shift her focus on economic inequality and go after Wall Street. But she cast herself as more prepared to make good on her pledges. “But they’re also hungry, they’re hungry for solutions”, she said.
Trump was the only Republican with no campaign stops in SC, redirecting his typically unconventional campaign to Florida, where he planned to hold a rally in Tampa.
Jeb Bush brought his mother, Barbara Bush, on the campaign trail in New Hampshire last week. The Nevada Democratic caucuses are set for the same day.
“The delegates are the people who represent each state at the national party convention”.
Mr Trump and Mrs Clinton remain the favourites to secure their parties’ nominations.

New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary left some GOP candidates with a hard-knocks hangover and others just happy to still be alive. He can’t win the nomination without that support.
