Christie to urge Booker to oppose Iran deal
While Christie called on Congress Tuesday to “substitute for the moral clarity that this president lacks”, he said he didn’t fault Obama for “attempting to talk” to Iran. “The American people need to save him from himself”, Christie said.

Several times, the governor name-checked Sen.
“For those who have not yet announced their position, particularly to my friend Sen”.
“A senator at the forefront of prison reform in the United States could not legitimize a government that locks up thousands of people just because they are political opponents of the regime”, Boteach said of Booker. Backers of the deal say it is the only viable way to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, at least for many years. “The senator’s decision will be derived from thorough and thoughtful analysis of all the facts, evidence and information as well as from consultation with a wide and diverse array of experts”.
Chris Christie adamantly argued at a press conference Tuesday morning, is a bad negotiation, and a hallmark of President Obama’s desire to crystallize his legacy instead of acting in the best interest of the United States.
Obama has said the only alternative to the deal – reached by six world powers and Iran – is war. The agreement aims to dismantle Iran’s nuclear capabilities in exchange for relief from global economic sanctions worth billions of dollars.
Christie, the governor of New Jersey, at the Rutgers University Chabad House in New Brunswick, New Jersey, called on Senator Cory Booker, D-New Jersey, and the rest of his state’s congressional delegation to vote against the deal. But what we are talking about with this agreement goes well beyond the surviving and the striving of the state of Israel.
He suggested that if the deal goes forward and he’s in the White House, he would end the United States’ participation in the agreement.
Later, Christie added, “We have the president of the United States directly lying to the American people in order to try to force this through a reluctant and concerned Congress”.
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, founder of The World Values Network, declared.
The big question is if there will be enough votes to override a presidential veto.
Congress, where majority Republicans overwhelmingly oppose the deal, is expected to reject the pact next month.
As things stand, Congress is unlikely to override the veto, according to a Washington Post analysis.
Sen. Bob Menendez, however, spoke out against the deal in an impassioned speech at Newark’s Seton Hall University on August 18, where he chided the bill as “aspirational”.
Christie referred to as on the complete New Jersey congressional delegation to return collectively, no matter get together affiliation, as they did within the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy to safe federal catastrophe aid funds.

Obama continued his push for the deal last with an op-ed in New Jersey’s Star-Ledger. “A better deal could not have been negotiated?”
