Fans of the late Christina Grimmie slammed Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards as it paid somber tribute to victims of gun violence but made no mention of the senselessly slain singer. Stop using Christina grimmie for ratings.

Grimmie was just 22 years old when she was killed by a deranged fan while signing autographs following a concert in Orlando, FL, one night before the shooting at the Orlando nightclub The Pulse.
After the performance, a clearly emotional Jessica struggled to hold back her tears as she said, “These teens had the courage to come here and share their grief and take a stand”.

A Change.org petition was started following the show, asking the Teen Choice Awards and Fox to formally apologize for “disrespecting Christina Grimmie”.
The segment featured actress Jessica Alba, artist Ne-Yo, and victims from San Bernardino, Newton and Orlando taking to the stage. “Now more than ever we need to stop, feel and ask what’s going on”.
Christina was posthumously feted with the Choice Web Star: Music accolade at the Teen Choice Awards, but the category was not televised and she was not mentioned during the broadcast, which reportedly upset her relatives.
