Kohrs kindly obliged Abramson’s request, as he thought it was just for someone who was showing support for the San Francisco Police Department.

Christopher Kohrs, also known as the “Hot Cop of Castro”, was arrested in San Francisco over the holiday weekend after allegedly plowing over two pedestrians at 2:20 a.m. Sunday then fleeing the scene.

The victims, aged in their forties, were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

San Francisco Police Department said it would not release a booking photo of Kohrs on Sunday evening, “pending identification matters”. It is unknown whether Korhs was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time.

Kohrs was placed on administrative leave pending the investigation into the incident, SFPD Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

Kohrs gained attention past year when residents of the Castro District, where he often patrolled, began posting pictures and articles about him on social media. Buzzfeed website called him the “Hottest Cop Ever”.

Kohrs became the subject of a viral Towleroad post in 2014 dubbing the cop “San Francisco’s finest”, not for his crime-fighting job, but for his good looks.

The page, which has more than 52,000 likes, includes photos his admirers have snapped with him while he’s out patrolling.
