A page attributed to the sister of Dylann Roof is appealing for donations to fund a wedding postponed after Roof was charged with murder in the shooting deaths of nine people at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston.

She also blamed the media for publishing their wedding information and destroying their dream day.

“June 21st was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives”.

No one responded to a request to comment sent through the GoFundMe page Thursday morning.

Roof raised about $1,700 – one-third of her goal – before the GoFundMe page was taken down at around 1:30 p.m. ET.

“We would like the chance to start our lives on a positive note”. We were ready! We had planned out every detail for months and months. “Our day was the exact opposite”.

“Our wedding day was suppose to be the most important and special day of our lives”.

According to Christon Scriven, 21, Roof explained one week until the church attack that they “wanted to take that faculty high – UCA learning institution of Charleston – it’s 5 kilometers it comprises of the thoroughfare from the church“.

She says many friends and family members came into town and took time off of work to be there for the couple. You don’t shout it on the internet and ask people for money, because then you look like an asshole.

“Our lives have been forever changed and touched by all the love and support you have shown us through this hard time”, she ended.

“I can not imagine the anguish and sorrow that your own brother has inflicted on so many wonderful and kind people and all the while, you are fantasizing about letting others fund your honeymoon!!”

Jade Stuckey, who donated $50 dollars to the cause, wrote: “Amber, there are no words to make this better, but I am so sorry”. “We know money can’t replace the wedding we lost and our flawless day, however it will help us to create new memories and a new start with our new family”. 10% of all funds raised will be donated to Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

“A situation like this could have easily been me since my brother has threatened to kill my father on several occasions”, she added. “Thank you for your honesty and desire to do the right thing, particularly at such a personal cost”, said one donor who gave $50.
