The Cubs have won their last five games in Cincinnati, the first time they’ve done that since the 1972-73 seasons.

The Cubs led 3-2 before the Reds unloaded on Lackey and reliever Trevor Cahill for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth, including a three-run homer off by Eugenio Suarez off Lackey and another one by Adam Duvall off Cahill.

Young gave up two runs and four hits, including a sixth inning leadoff home run to Manny Machado.

Royals’ Chris Young worked six impressive innings, striking out 10 and walking one.

He took that philosophy from the first pitch against the Cardinals and threw a gem. They had a couple of two-strike hits.

But after getting knocked out suddenly in the sixth inning of a 13-5 loss Saturday night to the Cincinnati Reds, Lackey hinted that he might have to change his game plan in his next start scheduled for Friday against the Atlanta Braves. Lackey came into last night’s game looking to capture his fourth win on the season, the win would have marked the best start in his career, instead the 37 year old Lackey walked 1 and struck out five over 5 2/3 innings giving up 7 hits and 5 runs all of which were earned. Their no-nos were also the first of the year. However, Chicago has won all of its games (10-0) when taking a late lead. It was the first time Texas got caught in a triple play since June 1, 1991, against Seattle, and the first one the White Sox turned since September 18, 2006, against Detroit.

Quintana limited the Rangers to four hits. He’s second in baseball with eight home runs despite a. 203 batting average.

Nolan Arenado and Ryan Raburn homered for the Rockies.

Gardner singled home the tying run in the seventh and then connected on a 3-1 pitch from Erasmo Ramirez (4-1) two innings later, pointing toward the Yankees’ dugout as he trotted to first base and the ball soared into the second deck in right field.

This outing represented a complete departure from his first career appearance against Houston. “It seems like they have a (No.) 3 or 4 hitter coming to the plate every time”.

“It’s just baseball”, said Rizzo, who has eight home runs this season. He had an RBI double in the second and singled and scored in the fourth.

LeBron James had 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Kyrie Irving made a pair of big 3-pointers down the stretch to help the Cleveland Cavaliers move within a game of a first-round sweep with a 101-91 victory over the…

The offensive outburst benefited NY starter Matt Harvey, who broke a three-game losing streak. I thought Johnny was outstanding, and they had a seven-run inning. “Winning’s the name of the game here”. “The bases were loaded”. Jean Segura had three hits and an RBI and Brandon Drury and starting pitcher Patrick Corbin had two hits and an RBI for Arizona.
