City defender Kompany out for four weeks with injury
Manchester City’s Joe Hart makes a save in their English Premier League match against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in Leicester on Tuesday.

City will be without skipper Vincent Kompany, who came off just nine minutes after coming on as a sub in the 4-1 Boxing Day win over Sunderland, with a recurrence of a long-standing calf problem.
And pressed on his January plans, Pellegrini said: “I think the squad is complete”.
Club captain Kompany, a reassuring influence in central defence, will be missing for around four weeks after suffering his third calf injury of the season against Sunderland.
“I don’t think that less than three or four weeks. We hope that he can recover as soon as he can, but it’s very important until we solve this to defend the way we did in this game”.
City remain without a win away from home in six league outings, and that has contributed to the fact that they have fallen three points off the pace behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Manuel Pellegrini has made it clear Manchester City do not have any plans to bring in a replacement for the injured Vincent Kompany or any other signings in the January transfer window.
“It was good to keep a clean sheet at Leicester but for me the best thing from that game was to continue playing the same way we did in the last two games”.
However, Pellegrini sees reason for optimism and believes they can win the title with a good second half of the season.
‘No-one likes losing, we showed that from the end of last season and we will fight to the end, ‘ the right back told Foxes Player.
But Claudio Ranieri’s team silenced their critics with another superb performance as they more than held their own against Pellegrini’s men.
“We need to win all our home games and be damn hard to beat in our away games and take victories and enjoy it with our fans, who were great again tonight”. Win or lose for me it was the same and the team responded very well.
“I wanted to see how my players responded after the Liverpool defeat and they responded well”. It’s not easy but we want to fight everybody.

“We’re in a good position and the two teams above us thoroughly deserve to be above us”.
