The city of Chattanooga Public Works Department announces that recycle and garbage collection scheduled for Christmas Day, Friday, will be collected on Saturday. Garbage will be collected as usual on New Year’s Day.

Households affected by the non-collection of garbage on Christmas Day and News Years Day will receive the service before or after Christmas and New Year’s Days. Large boxes will also be collected, but they should be empty except for the original packing material. Christmas trees must have all lights and ornaments removed, and any wooden stands that may be nailed to the tree should be removed as well.
