‘City target’ Sanchez sets record with second penalty miss

Arsenal, despite seeing a 2-0 lead halved by Hull’s Robert Snodgrass with just over 10 minutes to play, were never really in danger of losing the three points as they controlled proceedings in East Yorkshire. Arsenal will now travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in the League Cup before welcoming Antonio Conte and Chelsea to The Emirates next weekend.

Sanchez’s penalty miss means he is the only Arsenal player to take more than one Premier League penalty and fail to score with any of them.
