Authorities say buses were lined up outside the school when Jordan and two 10-year-old students were struck.
Counselors will ride the buses with students and be available at school throughout the week to help students and staff cope with the death, the school has said.
The Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township says it’s changing its procedures during dismissal.
Amy Beverland held an open house on Sunday for students and parents to return, some for the first time since the accident. The lower level of St. Luke’s was filled for the funeral for the principal of Amy Beverland Elementary School.
Student Bryson Luter says Jordan “was kind and caring and when we did just something good, she was just nice to you”. “She knew every student”, he said.
Police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the crash, but Indiana State Police said the bus had no mechanical issues.
No criminal charges have been filed against the bus driver but investigations are ongoing. She loved to shine the light on others.
How is Susan Jordan being honored?

The local education board also paid tribute to Ms Jordan, saying she was an “amazing educator”, who had the ability to “make everyone she came into contact with feel valued and important”. The fund is administered by the Lawrence Township School Foundation.
