Claudia Gadelha Thinks Joanna Jedrzejczyk Dreams Too Much
Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s Muay Thai abilities could pose a threat for Claudia Gadelha considering it’s not her strong suit. That’s more than enough motivation, and doing that means even more than beating Jedrzejczyk to get there.

UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be looking to defend her title against bitter rival Claudia Gadelha.
Choi, 12-0 (10 KOS), weathered an early storm from Tavares and knocked him out cold with a vicious straight right that reverberated throughout the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
While the Polish champion started slowly, she finished furiously. With about two minutes left, Jedrzejczyk avoided a takedown, pressed Gadelha against the fence and took her to the mat.
Here what else she had to say about the champ and losing to her in their first fight, as well as the possible addition of a new UFC women’s weight class. For me, she’s still No. 1 and she deserves to be the No. 1. The champion punished her in the standup throughout the second half of the fight, turning in a dominant performance and pulling away in emphatic fashion.
“I do have a lot of respect for her as a fighter”. I think I’m better technically. Two judges awarded her the fight 48-46, with the other scoring it 48-45. The Associated Press scored it 48-47 for Jedrzejczyk.
When asked at the post-fight news conference if she believes she’s the best fighter in women’s MMA, Jedrzejczyk gave a response that feels nearly like a throwback.
And so we have this peek into the lack of niceties displayed between Jedrzejczyk and Gadelha as they headline “The Ultimate Fighter” finale. They traded harsh words and shoves during promotional appearances for the bout, nearly coming to blows at several points in their uneasy co-existence.
Jedrzejczyk and Gadelha engaged in an extremely close fight in December 2014 that many still dispute.
By the fifth round, Jedrzejczyk was picking Gadelha apart with combinations.
“It’s not done. Never”, Gadelha said.
In the co-main event, Andrew Sanchez completely dominated Khalil Rountree, claiming a decision and winning The Ultimate Fighter 23 light heavyweight tournament title.
Poland’s Jedrzejczyk has sat atop the women’s strawweight division since knocking out inaugural champion Carla Esparza at UFC 185 a year ago, going on to defend the belt against Jessica Penne and Valerie Letourneau. “I don’t care about the things she says and that might be bad for her, because she needs that to fight well”. The main card airs live on FS1.
Brooks was Bellator’s lightweight champion when the promotion released him in May following a series of disputes.
First, women’s strawweight prospect Tatiana Suarez steamrolled Amanda Cooper with a submission win via d’arce choke at 3:43 of the first round.

The crowd often booed the action in the cage, not satisfied with Sanchez’s patient approach to take Rountree (5-1) down.
