Claudio Ranieri not thinking about Leicester’s Premier League title chances
Riyad Mahrez scored a brace as Leicester City beat Everton at Goodison Park 3-2.

“When all the world are speaking about you, play”.
Leicester City’s Shinji Okazaki and Everton’s Gareth Barry battle for the ball during their Premier League match on Saturday. “Maybe here there aren’t those great players but there is a team with great spirit”, said Ranieri, the former Chelsea, Valencia, Juventus, Roma, Inter, Monaco and Greece boss.
The way this season is panning out, it seems perfectly acceptable for Leicester City to be top at Christmas – precisely 19 places and 28 points better off than they were this time a year ago.
Branislav Ivanovic, Pedro and Oscar scored the goals to lift them to 15th, albeit still only four points above the bottom three.
Many Premier League observers will suggest that the Foxes will not be able to carry on this form for the rest of the season.
Despite conceding two goals from penalties, Martinez refused to blame referee Jonathan Webb for the loss.
Just as they did against Crystal Palace in the last home game, the Toffees hit back and were level within five minutes when Lukaku swept home in typically predatory fashion after Barkley had been foiled first by Kasper Schmeichel’s foot and then Andy King on the goal line.
Everton were too open, they lost concentration and Howard was always rushing head first into a race he would never, ever win with Vardy. Leicester are just in that mode at the moment, ‘ he told the Sun. Mahrez found Vardy with an impressive through-ball and the England striker was taken out by Tim Howard as he attempted to round the keeper. The Algerian midfielder sent the American ‘keeper the wrong way with another calmly-taken penalty.
Leicester have that quality in Mahrez, and Vardy is a handful, but really, their prize asset is the willingness of the team to work for each other. Furthermore, at Chelsea and Manchester United ticket prices are cheaper for Champions League matches than Premier League games on the secondary ticket sales market, again underlining the appeal of the domestic game, even if things are not quite going to plan for either side so far in the 2015-16 campaign.
United are desperate to get their season back on track and will hope that two more wins in December can help them do exactly that.

“We weren’t dreading them a year ago because we played well, we just weren’t getting the rub of the green”. For the second time in the game, Mahrez converted a spot kick easily. He is the current owner of Leicester City’s right-midfield berth and has wreaked havoc in the role, scoring 13 goals with an additional seven assists.
