Claudio Ranieri says no pressure at Leicester City

“I never had the feeling that it was a bottom of the league team as they already had the strength that came out this season because they had two or three players that have given them more quality”.

Lawrenson told BBC Sport: “This is going to be very interesting because the spotlight is seriously on Leicester now after their impressive win over Manchester City last weekend”.

Former Gunners defender Martin Keown has backed a boycott by Arsenal fans and says he would join them in a show of solidarity. This is the kind of game we want – the kind of game we relish.

Leicester City’s extraordinary 3-1 win over Manchester City at the Etihad last weekend saw them open up a five-point lead at the top of the English Premier League.

Wenger claimed the “nerves” will creep in during Leicester’s run-in once they realise what they have got to lose.

They have defied many people’s prediction to fall away as the most extraordinary of all seasons unfolds. Look at the number of direct balls from their half to the opponents’ half. They suck you in and go very quickly in the opponents’ half. They sit sixth in the table and like United, need to capitalise on any opportunity for points at this stage in the campaign. But Wenger expects a different sort of match this time around.

Per Mertesacker has been on the bench for Arsenal’s last two outings, with the World Cup victor replaced by Gabriel for the draw at home to Southampton and Sunday’s victory over Bournemouth. Ranieri has repeatedly said his side are able to play without pressure because they are hugely exceeding expectations, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is among those trying to change that.

“When you play football sometimes, I didn’t even know if it rained or not during the game because you’re so “in” the game that you do not focus too much on what is happening in the stands”.

“No one gave us a chance at the start of the season”.

Chelsea fan Jordan, 23, from Stanford-le-Hope, said: “I’d never been into betting in my life, but I thought 2,000/1 for them to beat Sunderland must’ve been a mistake”.

“Koscielny is a silent leader and Gabriel at the moment doesn’t master the language well enough”. The giant television networks, with their massive broadcast contracts, rule everything and they crush all of us like a little bug with their hegemony.
