“It is not important for us what other teams do”, said Ranieri, whose side have actually stretched their lead to three points this week.

Claudio Ranieri is checking on the fitness of Kasper Schmeichel after the Leicester goalkeeper played against West Bromwich Albion with a minor back injury.

Earlier, Leicester struck the woodwork twice through Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki. “They have the players who can do everything”.

He said: “We have to make sure we finish strong to actually achieve something rather than say, “We had a good three-quarters of the season and it fizzled out”.

While the Barclay’s Premier League has been gaining popularity in the United States in the past decade, teams like Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion have yet to become house hold names.

Ranieri’s men were held to a 2-2 draw by the Baggies yesterday morning (Singapore time) to move three points clear at the top of the English Premier League.

“We’re enjoying the ride and we know we are a good match for anyone”.

Voicing the complaints he hears from clubs, Stillitano said: “I could make a lot more money, I can be a lot more visible, I can help my sponsors out but right now I am locked into doing certain things that really historic”.

Leicester fell behind to a goal by Salomon Rondon in the 11th minute, but roared back when central midfielders Danny Drinkwater and Andy King scored in the 31st and 45th minutes, respectively.

“It was a fantastic match and I am very pleased with our performance”, he said after watching his side fire 22 shots, although just five found the target. The approach of all teams when facing LC was to get 3 points, to take it to them.

And West Brom boss Tony Pulis praised Leicester’s relentless approach and declared he wanted the Foxes to take the title.

“They play through the pitch quickly, they get the ball wide and they get bodies in the box”.

Fourth-place Manchester City is the other team with a realistic chance of hauling in Leicester and a 4-0 win over Aston Villa ended a run of three straight losses.

From almost the start of December past year, football pundits kept pondering over the fact whether the Leicester uprising was just a fluke or whether they were a real title contenders.

Leicester City played out a 2-2 draw with West Brom on Tuesday night, which at the time didn’t seem great, but results on Wednesday suggest the point was certainly a valuable one, as their title rivals failed to deliver.

“They’re fantastic – their effort, their energy, they never stop”.

Leicester and Spurs have been refreshing challengers to England’s traditional elite and it’s insulting to suggest the top football brands deserve to be in the Champions League every season.
