Clearwater Beach named number 1 travelers’ list
Visitors described it as a “beautiful sandy beach in a delightful setting”, “unique…small and friendly” and a “must see” of Jersey.

“We know travelers around the globe love sun and sand vacations, so we’ve tapped the TripAdvisor community to help us identify the world’s best beaches”, said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer in a statement.
Baio do Sancho in Brazil moved from first place to second in this year’s list, while Playa Paraiso Beach in Cayo Largo, Caribbean, moved up a spot to land in third place.
Three years ago, USA Today named Clearwater Beach Florida’s Best Beach Town and St. Pete Beach received TripAdvisor’s top spot in 2012 honors. Beach, pier, water sports, restaurants, hotelsthis area has it all, shared a TripAdvisor reviewer.
Florida topped Hawaii’s presence with 10 beaches on the list.
‘The sheer length of the beach means that there is no shortage of sand to sit down and relax on during the busy summer months, ‘ reads the travel site. “To have them both recognized on this list is a huge feather in the cap for our destination”. This year, Siesta is No. 3.
Panama City Beach, St. Augustine Beach, and Pensacola Beach also made the list.
Pinellas County beaches are no strangers to top beach awards. In 2008, Caladesi Island State Park was named the No. 1 beach by Dr. Beach (whose real name is Stephen Leatherman) of Florida International University.
