Clemson DB Korrin Wiggins (torn ACL) out for season
Korrin Wiggins, who was battling for a starting position as a linebacker/nickel back on Clemson’s defense, was lost for the season Wednesday after suffering a torn ACL during a situational scrimmage at Memorial Stadium. The coach says he was more concerned about Wiggins’ knee and needed to get a fuller report before evaluating when the junior might return. He was one of four Tigers with multiple picks in 2014. He played in all 13 games, six as a starter when he helped Clemson to a 10-3 record and a no. 15 final ranking in both polls.

Wiggins has had 54 tackles, four tackles for loss, four interceptions and seven passes broken up in 25 games over the last two seasons. As a result, the defensive back has been ruled out for the entire 2015 season.
Last season, Wiggins started six games at cornerback for the Tigers.

Clemson also announced all-ACC wide receiver Mike Williams pulled his hamstring and reserve offensive tackle Daniel Stone sprained his ankle during Wednesday’s scrimmage.
