Clemson junior CB Korrin Wiggins suffered a torn ACL during scrimmage on Wednesday.

Wiggins hurt himself trying to recover a fumble in the session at Memorial Stadium. The coach says he was more concerned about Wiggins’ knee and needed to get a fuller report before evaluating when the junior might return.
The Tigers, who are ranked 12th in the Coaches Preseason Poll and 15th in the Associated Press Top 25, have posted four straight 10-win seasons–a first for the program since Clemson had four straight 10-win seasons between 1987-90.
His 521 snaps from last season were the third-most among returning Tigers in 2015, trailing cornerback Mackensie Alexander and safety Jayron Kearse.

Clemson also announced two other less-serious injuries suffered Wednesday with starting receiver Mike Williams pulling his hamstring and backup offensive lineman Daniel Stone spraining his ankle. Wiggins was only one of four returning players who started at least six games on Clemson’s No. 1 defense from a year ago.
