Cleveland Browns’ Joe Haden says Josh Gordon “looks the exact same”

Multiple teams have reached out to the Cleveland Browns inquiring about the availability of recently reinstated wide receiver Josh Gordon, reports ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter. “This opportunity we have here is like nothing I’ve felt before or seen before and I really want to be a part of it”. “It’s important for him to be out there with those guys”.

“Cleveland has tried to establish an environment in which Gordon can thrive, and many around league believe Hue Jackson would be the right coach for him”, Schefter said on his social media accounts. He has 161 receptions for 2,754 yards and 14 touchdowns in 35 career games, all with the Browns. He’s talented, obviously. He has a lot of talent.

After he was suspended from the National Football League for a year, Josh Gordon didn’t know if he’d ever take the practice field for the Cleveland Browns again.

“He still looks the exact same and it’s just insane”, he said, via Cleveland.com. I don’t know how that happened, but he’s still out there running around, looking the same, running his routes, floating.

The Browns have been giving Gordon work with the first-team offense. He was suspended for 10 games in 2014 and the entire 2015 season for multiple substance violations.

But if Gordon hits the ground running when he returns and stays out of trouble, he’ll be Cleveland’s most dynamic offensive weapon. “I definitely am aware of what I can do and I think I can build upon that and do even better”. Keeping him is a gamble, given his past, but so is trading him when his value is so low.
