Cleveland Browns to sign QB Charlie Whitehurst
So while we await another game with a new quarterback, let’s take a look at the news surrounding the Browns and the rest of the National Football League in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags. As such, head coach Hue Jackson said the team was looking to sign another veteran quarterback to add to the mix.

The Akron Beacon Journal’s Nate Ulrich says the team will announce the move on Tuesday.
Griffin started the opener, but he is out for at least eight games with a broken coracoid bone in his left shoulder.
Rookie Cody Kessler appears to be next in line to start Sunday against Miami.
Jackson did not provide any specifics about the injury to McCown, who displayed toughness by staying in the game and absorbing several big hits while almost leading the Browns (0-2) to a comeback win.
Kessler will be the 26th quarterback to start for Cleveland since 1999.
Starting center Cam Erving sustained a bruised lung and promising rookie defensive end Carl Nassib broke his hand in Sunday’s 25-20 loss to Baltimore. Erving spent Sunday night in the hospital and will miss several games.
Manziel, who is now out of football, made three consecutive starts for the Browns at the end of last season and led them to their previous win on December 13 against the 49ers.
Two games down, two quarterbacks down. He planned to play against the Dolphins but won’t get the chance.
