Cleveland Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson to sign to three-year

There is ample time for James to apply that pressure – one Tweet is all it would take – and on Monday James will take questions from reporters at the team’s media day for the 2015-16 season.

“We also believe very strongly that Tristan loves this team and loves competing with these guys”.

Kyrie Irving has vowed that the Cleveland Cavaliers will play with rage next season following their defeat in the National Basketball Association Finals.

We’re excited about moving forward with him into the future in whatever form that may take. Ironically, the only two years where James has left me in awe of his ability were 2009 and 2014, neither of which culminated in a title for his team.

Cavs coach David Blatt said Thompson’s missing practice wasn’t “too, too much (of a concern) right now”, and “obviously we hope to see him as soon as possible”. Otherwise he signs the one-year deal, making him a free agent at the end of the season. Also consider the fact that Thompson has the same agent as LeBron James and a new deal got done with him pretty fast during free agency. “For me it’s just about getting better every single day and being here for my teammates and doing the right things I need to do to be ready and 100 percent when I actually do come back”. While James is not directly involved with negotiations, he has expressed a desire for Thompson to remain in Cleveland, according to USA Today. The sports analyst added, “Since no other deal has been offered and definitely confirmed, Thompson really should sign that QO. And everybody that we went against knew it when we came back”, he recounts.

Blatt called the Cavs a “deeper team” that can be “versatile with lineups” and is optimistic about having the same players for the duration of the season. With Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love – both coming off surgeries and to be limited in the preseason – and a roster deepened by the additions of veterans Richard Jefferson and Mo Williams, the Cavs appear to have all the pieces to support James. He was somehow the best and worst player of the Finals, simultaneously.

James said he, Dwyane Wade and the rest of the Heat went into his second year in Miami with fire in their eyes. “What makes me happy is winning a championship in Cleveland”.

Thompson, 24, is a reserve power forward who made a name for himself starting for most of the playoffs last season and is locked in a contract stalemate with the Cavs.
