Cleveland Cavaliers to host Golden State Warriors on Christmas

LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and the NBA champion Cavalier are tentatively scheduled to host the Warriors in an NBA Finals rematch on Christmas Day, according to multiple league sources.

According to Stein, the Thunder are tentatively slated to play the Warriors at home on February 11, and Durant’s first game against Oklahoma City will be on November 3 in Oakland, California. His teams are 7-3 on Christmas, having lost in each of the last two seasons – in Miami in 2014 and a year ago to the Warriors.

It was not a secret two years ago that the Cavaliers and Love did not get along, but they made it work last year to help them secure the title.

But this December 25 meeting, sources say, is scheduled to happen in Cleveland, allowing the reigning champion Cavaliers to spend the holiday at home.

With even more news surrounding the future of Kevin Love with the Cleveland Cavaliers, it seems apparent that he is ready to make his way out of the franchise that just won their first NBA Championship.

And the Warriors and Cavs, who have met in the past two Finals, will play during the NBA’s marquee Christmas Day package for the second straight year. However, they would later make history as they came back in herculean fashion from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to hoist the team’s first Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Of course, LeBron James and Co. got the best of Steph Curry, et al, when it really mattered six months later.
