Discussions of climate change and the upcoming conference in Paris can be loaded with abbreviations. A deal to cut carbon emissions worldwide wont be [a] silver bullet that eliminates the climate change threat, he said, but the truth is we wont eliminate it without an agreement in Paris. “It’s because by fueling extreme weather events undermining our military readiness, exacerbating conflicts around the world, climate change is a threat to the security of the United States and, indeed, to the security and civility of countries everywhere”.

What will this Paris Climate Alliance do? .
For the 2015 Climate Survey, expert stakeholders representing business, governments, NGOs, and academia shared their expectations for the COP21 meeting in Paris and provided insights about the role of various actors and climate change strategies post-2015.
Last month, a different group of pilgrims set off from Rome to Paris in a pilgrimage organised by the World Council of Churches (WCC), the Lutheran World Federation and ACT Alliance.
Developing countries should receive the support they require to make the transition to a low carbon economy and to adapt to the reality of a climate that is already changing and the loss and damage that is associated with this, Zuma said. Moreover, emissions were shifted from one country to another.
What will this deal mean for Canada? .
“Identifying these patterns and gaps is crucial for decision-making about where to invest climate financing and other resources so that we have the biggest impact on reducing vulnerability”, says first author Alexandra Lesnikowski, a member of the Climate Change Adaptation Research Group at McGill University.

These studies show that for the Paris Agreement to be effective and equitable, it must unlock substantial public finance for mitigation, both to fulfil developed countries’ fair share and to help unlock greater ambition in developing countries.
