“You have to keep working to make things better, even when the odds are long and the opposition is fierce”. Because of Clinton, she said, her daughters will “take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States”.

“Herstory”, read a handwritten sign held up by a delegate. You’ve got to get in the arena with her, because democracy isn’t a spectator sport.

The Day Three lineup was stocked with high-end political talent, including Vice President Joe Biden, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Vice Presidential nominee Sen.

Trump, a former reality TV star whose campaign appearances have been peppered with insults and tough talk, has portrayed the country as being under siege from illegal immigrants, crime and terrorism and losing influence in the world.

“I think that’s where we have to come together and find a compromise and make sure that those people in our economy is protected in Kentucky while still looking out for the long-term future of our state”, Ford said.

“I will be a president for Democrats, Republicans, and independents”, she added. “For the struggling, the striving and the successful”. “People ask me all the time: How does she do it?…”

“We’ve reached a milestone in our nation’s march toward a more flawless union: The first time that a major party has nominated a woman for President”, Clinton declared on Thursday.

At the convention yesterday, US Senator Tim Kaine, Mrs Clinton’s running mate, described Mr Trump as “a one-man wrecking crew” who can not be trusted in the Oval Office. She’s tested. She’s ready.

“I’ve heard stories from other young Democrats, saying they’ve been verbally abused by Clinton supporters”, Yeung said.

“Powerful forces are threatening to pull us apart”. Obama noted progress the country has made and said Clinton would take it further.

“We are clear-eyed about what our country is up against. We will rise to the challenge, just as we always have”.

Amidst overwhelming jeers from the crowd at the mention of Trump’s name, Obama delivered a succinct call to action that lit Twitter up: “Don’t boo-vote”. In her family, Clinton said, overcoming obstacles was a team effort.

After those conversations, Hillary Clinton went right to work.

Clinton faces a major trust deficit among a USA public that has followed every Clintonian turn of the past quarter century. She aimed to appeal to undecided voters by contrasting her candidacy with Donald Trump’s, casting him as unprepared for the Oval Office.

Her remarks signal a plan to focus attention on down-and-out communities that have felt ignored by the slow and erratic economic recovery.

For some delegates, Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech was like watching a dream come true.

Clinton appeared to allude to this early in her speech. Sanders supporters were hoping for a ticket that balanced their candidate’s left-of-center philosophy with the more moderate views of Hillary Clinton. “I thought it would be cool to see a whole sea of Bernie supporters”.
