In Virginia, which handed its electoral votes to Barack Obama twice but was once a solidly Republican state, several August surveys show high single-digit to double-digit leads for Clinton.

The Sputnik News article was such an obvious piece of propaganda that it could have been written by Trump himself. The state-run media article even used Trump’s hashtags when they tweeted out the story.
Conway echoed Priebus’ optimism, contending that the candidate just had the best week of his campaign, “mostly because he’s able to be himself, the authentic Donald Trump”. On Saturday, Trump met with a newly created panel of Hispanic advisers at Trump Tower in NY and asked to hear their immigration policy ideas – making clear that his position is not finalized, according to two attendees. On Sunday, Conway disputed BuzzFeed’s characterization of the meeting as Trump changing position.
“That was very revealing”, he said.
Fuentes said he didn’t know why some walked away with the idea that Trump would change his position on deportations.
Conway also was asked about a 2005 comment she made about Clinton, and whether she was disparaging spouses who reconcile after cheating.
“The fact is that Hillary Clinton could not stand up to a cheating husband, so how in the world would she stand up to North Korea and some of our other enemies around the globe?”
Clinton has said that she and Powell were in agreement on the use of private email by secretaries of state. In what looked to be at least partly a way to dodge questions about the Clinton Foundation, Hillary Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook essentially accused Donald Trump of being a Kremlin puppet. A senior Trump campaign official, who asked for anonymity because he was not permitted to discuss staffing publicly, said Trump’s campaign had fewer than 200 total staff members at the end of July, about evenly divided between field offices and NY.
Earlier on Saturday in New York, Trump met with a group of Hispanic leaders as part of a new National Hispanic Advisory Council to the campaign.
Clinton’s financial advantage extends to super PACs – organizations that can raise unlimited funds from corporations, unions, associations and individuals and spend unlimited money to openly push for or against political candidates, but which are prohibited from coordinating with campaigns.
As Trump’s new campaign manager, Conway said she would assess the situation, adding the Republican National Committee would be continuing to help. “And I think he’s going to get this thing back on track”. Talk to him daily now. “He didn’t have to say anything – we’re there”, said Monty, a former “bundler” for the presidential campaign of former Florida governor Jeb Bush. Her campaign has $58.5 million in cash-on-hand, nearly exactly $20 million more than Trump. “He’s expressed his regret publicly and said, “If I have caused you personal pain – that can include me, that can include you” – that he regrets that”, Conway said.
