Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin says she is separating from husband Anthony Weiner after another sexting revelation involving the former congressman from NY. “Anthony and I remain devoted to doing what’s best for our son, who is the light of our life”.

But one person’s public relations nightmare is another’s public relations opportunity, and today’s revelations just so happened to coincide with an announcement from Showtime trumpeting its exclusive TV premiere of the documentary Weiner in October.
The photos were part of a months-long exchange between Weiner and the woman. Their son was born in December of that year, and Weiner has been a stay-at-home dad for much of the time since. Abedin spoke with several close friends Sunday night and early Monday morning before deciding to announce a separation.
It is impossible to know at this point if this is real news or a story generated by, for example, Clintonista Sidney Blumenthal, to distract from Hillary Clinton’s deepening email scandal and Abedin’s role in it. She appeared in various bikinis and Mr Weiner was half-dressed, showing off his stomach or his groin – and they talked about sex.
“I only worry for the country in that Hillary Clinton was careless and negligent in allowing Weiner to have such close proximity to highly classified information”, he said. “Who knows what he learned and who he told?” Conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart is first to report the image, which shows the bulging crotch of a man in his underwear. “Look, this is a prank and not a terribly creative one”, Weiner says.
Weiner the documentary, which is out on DVD through Madman Films on September 7, offers extraordinary access inside the politician’s doomed 2013 campaign to become the mayor of NY. His first unsuccessful run for NY mayor was in 2005.
He recently refused to answer when asked whether he was still sexting, telling The New York Times Magazine in an interview published August 16: “I’m not going to go down the path of talking about any of that”. He deflected at the time, saying “I’m not going to go down the path of talking about any of that”, before changing the topic to Trump.
The latest alleged indiscretion happened at about 3am on July 31 past year, according to the “New York Post”, when Mr Weiner and an unnamed woman were reportedly talking about massage parlours near his former apartment. The paper described her as a 40-something divorced woman from the West. Some conservatives have suggested Abedin has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic political movement, citing her listing as an assistant editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, a publication edited by her mother.
Ms Abedin and Mr Weiner Wednesday in 2010 in a ceremony officiated by former President Bill Clinton. She was a personal aide to Clinton during her successful 2000 campaign for US Senate.
Yet Abedin nearly never speaks publicly, meaning her work for Clinton is opaque to voters.
Abedin is Clinton’s most well known aide.
Ms Abedin first worked for Hillary Clinton in the 1990s as an intern when Mrs Clinton was first lady. Months later, Weiner received less than 5 percent of the primary vote.

“As far as Weiner is concerned, since his child somehow was involved, it could be that we can now have him realize he needs help”, he told CNN. Weiner continued to sext under the alias Carlos Danger while running for mayor.
