Clinton Allies Blame Sanders for Poor Poll Numbers Against Trump
“Her opponent who never tires of telling us how much richer he is than the rest of us won’t release his tax returns”, said an animated Bill Clinton. “I don’t want to have guns in classrooms, although in some cases teachers should have guns in classrooms, frankly, because teachers are, you know, things that are going on in our schools are unbelievable” – that is just part of what he said less than 24 hours after calling for elimination of gun-free school zones.

Rep. Steve Pearce, R-Hobbs, the lone Republican in state’s congressional delegation and whose district sits along the U.S.-Mexico border, also won’t be attending Trump’s campaign rally, a spokeswoman said.
“We believe that Hillary Clinton’s time is best spent campaigning and meeting directly with voters across California and preparing for a general election campaign that will ensure the White House remains in Democratic hands”, Palmieri said.
Many are state party chairs, vice chairs or top officials such as President Barack Obama, who are declining to publicly express a preference for now.
Clinton on Monday turned down an invitation by Fox News to debate Sanders in California despite having agreed previously to a May debate. “It’s time we break some of those barriers, time for a woman to be leading us”, said Norris Palmer, a Hillary supporter.
In the same poll in April, Ms Clinton held an 11-point advantage over Mr Trump, 50-39 percent, and she had led him by double digits since December. In addition to the public event in Sacramento, Bill Clinton headlined a fundraiser for his wife’s campaign at the home of former state Treasurer Phil Angelides. He said the Democratic Party faces a choice of becoming more inclusive or maintaining the status quo.
Democratic presidential candidate Sen.
California Gov. Jerry Brown has kept mum on who he’s throwing his support behind, but hasn’t been shy about throwing a few jabs at Sanders.
In a Monday interview, O’Reilly warned the presumptive Republican presidential nominee that his attempt to revive the accusations against the former president may not prove effective.
“I don’t think anybody should be seeking the Democratic nomination with a scorched-earth policy”.
Clinton is going up with ads there starting Friday, with spots targeting Hispanic and Asian-American voters, campaign aides told CNN’s Jeff Zeleny, including ads that will be aired in Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese and other languages.
Brown’s endorsement is highly coveted considering California voters head to the polls on June 7.
He added: “I have to fight back the way I have to fight back”.
