Clinton and Sanders Taking Divergent Roads to Iowa
Yes, an idealistic senator has again managed an incredible polling surge against her, and Iowa is becoming a close race, but Hillary Clinton said she’s not having flashbacks to her bruising, ultimately unsuccessful, Democratic primary 2008 bid against Barack Obama.

Sanders’ strength is likely to depend largely on voters’ access to information, which Huffmon called “the first requirement to being a converted voter”.
“Republicans would much rather run against Bernie Sanders and have a chance to define him from the get-go as extreme and out of touch”, Republican strategist Kevin Madden, a Mitt Romney campaign veteran, said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union”. We have four great kids, we got seven lovely grandchildren, three of them here in New Hampshire.
Sanders said the USA has had a steady history of opening voting rights to more people from African Americans more about 150 years ago, and women almost 100 years ago.
First, Sanders would have to win the Democratic presidential nomination against Clinton, Trump would have to triumph over his Republican rivals and Bloomberg would have to actually launch an independent bid for president, something he threatened to do on Saturday.
The CBS News/YouGov battleground polls show Sanders has inched past Clinton in Iowa and leads 47-46 percent.
Sanders’ campaign has focused largely on the size and power of large corporate banks and Sunday he said he was pleased it was getting the attention of Wall Street. Sanders now has a 50 percent rating, while Clinton has 41 percent. “I think Bernie came in with the luxury of being a complete long-shot and just letting loose. She stands ready to take on the most demanding job in the world”, it said.
Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton addresses supporters during an October campaign rally in San Antonio.
“I expect that Secretary Clinton will get a lot of the endorsements from mainstream media, but I have the endorsement, and I’m very proud to say, of 2.5 million individual contributions to my campaign”, Sanders said.
Currently, Clinton is employing a strategy where it proclaimed that she will build on what Obama has already accomplished, frequently and subtly telling people that if Sanders wins the presidency, he may undo all of the progress done by the current administration. Sanders points to recent polls that stack him favorably against Republican Donald Trump and to his campaign’s momentum.
Donald Trump has said he wants to run against Sanders, who he has characterized as a “little puppy”.
One week from now, Iowa voters will kick off the 2016 presidential contest with its caucuses. “It’s not communism”, said Susan Stanbury, 72, a retired town manager from Peterborough, New Hampshire.
“The person who sits in that (White House) situation room has to be able to weigh intelligence and evidence to be able to really dig deep in these details, and I offer you my experience and my judgment”, she said. He would win by 14, Sanders said.

In a Democratic primary that appears to be tightening, Clinton has escalated its attacks on Sanders over his perceived inexperience with foreign policy. He’s consistently led in preference polls in New Hampshire, which borders his home state.
